The Ephraim Otieno Spirit Awards are designed to honor Dr. Ephraim Otieno's legacy by recognizing students who live out the qualities he stood for—character, service, perseverance, and excellence.
Each year, we plan to offer awards to student-athletes and future healthcare leaders who are making a real impact in their schools and communities. Our goal is to celebrate students who lead with humility, work hard, care for others, and keep pushing forward even when life is challenging.
Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, these awards will be rooted in the communities Dr. Ephraim Otieno invested in and served. Each year, EOOSF will work through selected partner organizations and institutions that align with his values—supporting students and programs who are already showing up with character, service, and excellence in those spaces.
